The History Graduate Student Association (HGSA) is a means by which to build camaraderie among the graduate students through both formal and informal gatherings. In addition to forstering skills for professional development in the form of article workshops, day trips off-campus, and an annual graduate student symposium, there will be an emplasis placed upon mentorship between returning and first-year graduate students. The officers of the HGSA too will seek to advocate for their fellow graduate students, acting as liaisons between the needs of graduate students and the faculty of the program.
